The Port of Oakland is replacing its diesel-belching trucks with cleaner ones.

Over the next few months, nine new liquefied natural gas trucks will replace the older vehicles. The move is expected to reduce pollution throughout the day as trucks roll in and out of the port.

The goal is to reduce the health risk from diesel by 85 percent by the year 2020.
