Police investigate Taco Bell robbery

PLEASANTON, CA

The robbery was reported at about 7:50 p.m. at the restaurant at 5524 Springdale Drive, according to police.

The suspects allegedly entered the restaurant through the front doors and jumped over the counter into the employee area of the business, police said.

One of the suspects pointed a gun at one of the employees and demanded that he open the safe before going into a back room and taking money from another employee, according to police.

The second suspect took the money out of the safe and the cash register drawers and then the two fled the restaurant, police said.

Both suspects are described by witnesses as men in their early 20s who are between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall with medium builds.

The first suspect was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, snowboarding-type pants and had a blue bandana over his face, according to police. The second suspect was wearing a sweatshirt and similar plants.
