2.4 quake strikes near The Geysers

The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.4 struck Saturday morning in Sonoma County.

According to the USGS, the earthquake struck at about 5:30 a.m. and had a depth of 1.7 miles.

The quake was centered 3 miles north-northwest of the Geysers and 11 miles east-northeast of Cloverdale, according to the USGS.
