House fire does $1 million in damage

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that caused $1 million damage to a Danville home Sunday morning.

San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a blaze at 8 Diamond Court at about 1:20 a.m., according to a dispatcher.

There was one injury and the fire was controlled at about 2 a.m.

The damage estimate to the structure was $750,000 and $250,000 to the contents, fire protection district spokeswoman Kim French said. A vehicle and a fence also were damaged.
