The NUMMI auto manufacturing plant in Fremont is moving ahead with another round of shutdowns to deal with the economic slowdown.

The plant closed for a total of nine days in December and January and is stopping its Toyota Tacoma assembly line for 16 days in February and March.

The Toyota Corolla and Pontiac Vibe lines will shut down for 12 days during the same period.

NUMMI will also stop giving public tours at the end of this month.
