Janet Adams received the maximum sentence for elder fraud. She pleaded guilty to taking $93,000 dollars from an 85-year-old woman, who was told her husband would die if she did not pay.
After our investigation in December, several more victims came forward; five gave statements in court Friday.
Adams did not speak, but directed her attorney to apologize to the victims on her behalf.
