17-year-old seriously injured in collision

A 17-year-old remains in intensive care this morning after two vehicles collided in Fremont Wednesday evening, according to police.

Officers responded to a collision at Paseo Padre Parkway and Blackstone Way at about 7:10 p.m. where a 2007 GMC truck had overturned after it crashed into the passenger side of a Nissan coupe turning left in front of it, according to the Fremont Police Department.

A juvenile passenger in the Nissan sustained a broken pelvis and major head injuries and was in serious condition this morning, police reported

The truck's river, 46-year-old Yong Wu, and a juvenile driver of the Nissan sustained minor injuries in the crash, according to police. All three victims were transported to Eden Trauma Center for treatment.

Police reported no preliminary evidence of drugs or alcohol in connection to the collision.
