San Francisco's Dean Karnazes is a long distance runner with few equals.
Just this month, he ran a 200 mile marathon -- 74 hours, without sleep. A couple of years ago he ran 50 regular marathons in 50 days consecutive days, in all 50 states.
Time Magazine recently named Karnazes one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
