William Ayres, 77, could be sent to prison for life. He faces charges of fondling seven boys, all of them patients under age 14 who had come to him for counseling between 1991 and 1996.
According to investigators, there are as many as 30 more victims whose allegations cannot be prosecuted because they happened too long ago.
Ayers' defense attorney has said the charges are untrue -- the results of mistakes, false memory, or suggestion.
