You may have noticed how many restaurants these days list a dollar amount for each dish, but omit the dollar sign. Now a study by Cornell University says people tend to order more food if they don't see that reminder that we're talking money.
Researchers surveyed diners and found they ordered eight percent more food from the menu that had numbers without the dollar sign.
