The View from the Bay wants you to know about a special event, supporting the Lazarex Cancer Foundation. The first annual "Bridge to Hope", an all day music festival and art show, is happening Saturday, September 26th at San Francisco's Fort Mason on the Great Meadow from 11am-7pm. The event includes a line-up of top artists, including R&B icons Charlie Wilson and Brian McKnight. Other performances include the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir, jazz saxophone greats Gerald Albright and Kirk Whalum, A Taste of Honey featuring Janice-Marie, and 70's disco diva Maxine Nightingale. You can also enjoy gourmet food from a number of the city's favorite restaurants along with the beautiful work of some local artisans.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the patients of the Lazarex Foundation. This Danville-based non-profit is dedicated to providing financial assistance for participation in FDA approved clinical trials to end stage cancer patients. The foundation also helps patients navigate their clinical trial options, and offers community education and outreach services.
