This all began at a 10:20 pm on Wednesday night when three men entered a Pinole 7/11 wearing gloves, masks and carrying a rifle. One report said the gun was an AK-47. They robbed the store and took off in a silver Mercedes stolen from Richmond.

The Mercedes was spotted about 3:00 a.m. at a construction storage area off of El Portal and I-80 in San Pablo. One of the wheels of the car was blown out and it is unknown how that happened.

Police pursued the car, which contained only one of the suspects, into a West Contra Costa County neighborhood. That neighborhood was placed on temporary lockdown which has been lifted.

The suspects still remain at large at this time.
