Detectives had obtained an arrest warrant for 20-year-old Sacramento resident Samson Gebrezghi shortly after the May 25 shooting, in which a group of four to six men were allegedly denied entry to a party for Santa Rosa Junior College football players, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department.

At around 12:50 a.m., one of the rejected suspects allegedly fired several rounds into the party, shooting a 21-year-old man in the face. The victim later underwent surgery at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and is recovering from his injuries.

Cloverdale police reported to detectives at around 3 p.m. Thursday that Gebrezghi had been taken into custody during a traffic stop earlier in the day. Gebrezghi, the third suspect arrested, was booked into Sonoma County jail for attempted murder with gang enhancements, police reported.

Santa Rosa police arrested a 17-year-old boy June 5, and 20-year-old Danny Tewolde on May 27, both for attempted murder with possible gang enhancements.

Anyone with further information is asked to call the police department's gang crimes investigation team at (707) 543-3670.

The Sonoma County Alliance's "Take Back Our Community" program has offered a $2,500 reward for information leading to arrests.
