The answers are in for which cars will give you the fewest mechanical problems on day one.
On Monday, J.D. Power and Associates released its annual list of the best and worst performers. Rankings are based on problems reported by consumers in the first 90 days of ownership.
The best rated car is the Lexus with 84 problems per 100 vehicles. Second is the Porsche with 90 problems per 100 cars.
The worst ranked is the Mini Cooper with 165 problems and the Landrover had 150. Automakers said it's still relatively close, pointing out that less than one problem per vehicle separates the best from the worst.
