Moshe Lewis just got back to San Francisco on Monday afternoon. He said Joe Jackson was much quieter than usual. He says he really seems to be in complete shock that hi son, Michael Jackson, is gone.

"What you're not seeing is that he's just trying to stand tall and not cry," says Lewis.

Lewis and his wife, Tami, met with Joe Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton Sunday before the Black Entertainment Awards. They flew down to L.A. from San Francisco to express their sympathies to the Jackson family whom Moshe Lewis has known for more than 20 years.

"There's no question they're grieving. I think they want to show unity, there's not going to be any finger pointing toward any person or physician," says Lewis.

It does appear the investigation is broadening. Jackson's personal doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray, was interviewed by the L.A. Police Department. But a police source now says detectives would like to talk to all doctors who have prescribed Jackson medicine. They also returned to Jackson's home Monday to gather some medications.

Murray's attorney, Ed Chernoff, on Monday addressed reports that Murray injected Jackson with Demerol before he died.

"Dr. Murry never prescribed Demerol, never administered, never saw him, Michael Jackson, take Demerol. And that goes as well for Oxycontin too," says Chernoff.

"It's something that is easily verified. Most cardiologists don't write lots of pain medications, so I suspect that's true," said Lewis.

Lewis is a pain management doctor. He says it's no secret Jackson was on pain medication, but he says the effects of the drugs can be deceiving.

"Michael was out and about and obviously planning a big tour, so he certainly seemed in command," says Lewis.

Dr. Lewis did not treat Michael Jackson. He is a family friend. And he wanted to bring the message back to the Bay Area that the Jacksons are truly grateful for the outpouring of love and support.
