Corpse flower finally blossoms

A foul stench is actually a welcome odor at San Francisco State University this weekend.

The giant corpse flower that was expected to bloom last weekend has finally blossomed.

The titan arum is native to Indonesian rainforests and typically blooms for just 48 hours at most.

It is growing in the new greenhouse in the biology department.
