Recession impacts back to school shopping

The National Retail Federation says four out of five Americans plan to cut back on their shopping.

It says the average family with children in kindergarten through 12th grade is expected to spend nearly $550, down more than seven percent from last year.

The survey says more people will shop at discount stores and even drug stores for supplies.
