/*George Gascon*/ said Monday he will bring in detectives from his old department, the LAPD to investigate a high profile unsolved murder.

French national Hugues De La Plaza was found stabbed to death two years ago in his Hayes Valley apartment.

Detectives at first called it a suicide, before they launched a murder investigation.

Gascon meantime Monday told the city's public safety committee he shares their vision of reforming the SFPD.

He said a top priority is good morale, but not at the expense of good policing.

Gascon says his ultimate goal is to make San Francisco the safest big city in the country.
