Gov. Schwarzenegger helped kick off a $16 million levee project Monday in Yuba City.
A levee break there could flood not only the city, but almost all of Southern Sutter County.
This project is a step toward restoring 100-year-level flood protection to the Yuba City basin.
A $4 billion levee repair and flood control bond was approved by voters in 2006.
