Wildfire near Soledad threatens 100 homes

The fire started around 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon and firefighters have been evacuating residents throughout the evening.

So far, 2,500 acres have burned and there is zero containment.

Authorities say this is a very challenging fire to fight because there are so many high-power transmission lines in the area.

CAL FIRE say it all started with fireworks being used by farmers to scare off birds.
