La Habra police spokeswoman Cindy Knapp says the 17-year-old at Sonora High School was stabbed Tuesday morning. Police locked down the campus and ordered students to stay in classrooms as they searched for the unidentified attacker, who appeared to be a 17- to 19-year-old male. Knapp says it isn't clear whether he was a student at the school or what prompted the attack.

The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.

No other details were available.
