Students with the Roots Of Peace Children's Penny Campaign met in San Rafael Thursday night, for a two hour Skype call with Afghan boys and girls.

The Afghan children go to a new school built from penny drives led by American kids. They uplinked their conversation to YouTube and you can watch it here.

"We want to thank Roots of Peace and children of America. We want to continue our lessons and promote our education in the future," said a Afghan boy.

Afghan businessman Quasim Tarin was so inspired, he matched a donation by the San Rafael Youth Performers and the Dupree Foundation to build a new library at Mir Botchakot.

The Afghan students talked about becoming doctors, engineers and other professions to help their country.
