Five out of the 11 robberies happened near the Highway 101 underpass at Bridge Boulevard, near the region's transit hub.

They say the victims were assaulted even after they handed over their valuables.

Five people and one juvenile have been arrested, but the robberies haven't stopped.

The most recent robbery happened on Sunday when two juveniles stole a victim's iPod and cell phone at gunpoint.

Two deputies have been assigned to a walking beat in the area.
