Investigators say they believe 51-year-old Scott Weinberg started a fire at a Wendy's restaurant in Walnut Creek early Thursday morning.
They also believe he is responsible for Thursday's suspicious fire at a Walnut Creek Comcast office. That fire broke out just before 4 a.m., briefly knocking out cable, phone and Internet service to about 40,000 customers.
Comcast says the fire caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage.
