About the LATISSE® Wishes campaign:
Brooke is a spokesperson for LATISSE (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution) - the prescription treatment for eyelash hypotrichosis (inadequate or not enough lashes), to grow lashes longer, fuller and darker. The campaign borrows on the tradition of blowing on an eyelash to make wishes come true.
Allergan, Inc. and the Make-A-Wish Foundation teamed up to launch the LATISSE® Wishes campaign, designed to help make wishes come true. The tradition of blowing on an eyelash to make a wish come true was the inspiration behind the campaign. The campaign launched with an initial donation of $500,000 from Allergan to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Consumers are encouraged to help double this amount to $1 million by registering their support at http://www.latisse.com to help grant the wishes of children in their local communities. Between now and December 31, 2009, Allergan will donate $5 for each new visitor who registers online, up to an additional $500,000. To help meet this $1 million goal, visit http://www.latisse.com to register your support.
Important Safety Information in LATISSE®: If you are using prescription products for lowering eye pressure or have a history of eye pressure problems, only use LATISSE® under close doctor supervision. May cause eyelid skin darkening which may be reversible, and there is a potential for increased brown iris pigmentation which is likely to be permanent. There is a potential for hair growth to occur in areas where LATISSE® solution comes in repeated contact with skin surfaces. If you develop or experience any eye problems or have eye surgery, consult your doctor immediately about continued use of LATISSE®. The most common side effects after using LATISSE® solution are an itching sensation in the eyes and/or eye redness.
About Brooke Shields:
Brooke Shields has been in the limelight since she was in diapers. Modeling as infant and throughout her childhood years, Brooke went on to be the youngest fashion model to ever appear on the cover of Vogue, at age 14. That same year, Brooke starred in The Blue Lagoon, and wowed the world with her beauty and talent. The model/actress took time off from her career to attend Princeton in 1983 and graduated four years later with a degree in French literature. Brooke hit it big again in 1997 when she starred in the sitcom Suddenly Susan, and has been working steadily ever since. She's also managed to have a family and write a book regarding her public struggle with postpartum depression. Brooke previously starred in the NBC show Lipstick Jungle as a woman who (surprise, surprise) is balancing work and a high-profile career. Talk about a lady who can do it all!
