3.8 quake hits East Bay

There was an earthquake that hit at 8:27 p.m. in the East Bay.

The preliminary magnitude is a 3.8. It hit about three miles south of Pleasanton.

One caller in Livermore described it as a minor jolt while another caller says it was like a violent shake. ABC7 received quite a few calls in the newsroom.

After the ABC7 News web department sent out a tweet about it, lots of people weighed in saying they felt it pretty sharply in some areas.

However, although a lot of people felt it, there appears to be no damage.
