At the Great Mall in Milpitas police investigated the scene on the second floor of the parking garage. Two women who work at the mall told ABC7 that they discovered the man lying down at about 7:15 p.m. and told security who then called 911.

Police say the man had been shot more than once, but they won't say whether a weapon has been found in the parking garage or who they are looking for. They haven't released the victim's name, but did say he was in his 20s.

Police cordoned off the entire parking garage and the small lot next to it. The garage is located in the back end of the mall, just down the way from Dave and Busters.

Inside the crime tape sat the cars of many shoppers and employees. Police let people inside the tape one by one after checking their driver's license and writing down their information.

The women who found the man have had to stay behind to tell police everything they saw.

"After seeing it, it was definitely disturbing to see the whole thing and to think about if we would have just came out two minutes earlier, we would have seen the whole thing, the shooting everything," said Rowena Blanchard, a Great Mall employee.

"It was kind of disturbing. I've been kind of off ever since I went back work and I was kind of hectic, crazy feeling. My heart has been kind of racing ever since it happened," said Jamie Ramanis, an employee.

The Great Mall remained open Friday night and was pretty busy with people going to the movies and Dave and Busters. The garage was packed.

The people who parked in the garage were impacted, but a lot of the people in the mall didn't even know the investigation was happening.

Some of the cars had to stay overnight because police did not want to let go of the cars closest to where the crime happened. They wanted to preserve the crime scene and gave it a thorough look before releasing the cars back to their owners.
