Construction starts on South SF ferry terminal

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Groundbreaking on the $26 million project at Oyster Point Marina took place in September.

The ferry will serve commuters traveling between South San Francisco and Jack London Square in Oakland.

The terminal is being paid for with federal and state funds, bridge tolls and a San Mateo County sales tax.

Ferry service is expected to begin in 2011
