Cal Poly accidentally exposes personal info

Cal Poly Pomona has revealed that the personal information of hundreds of applicants was accidently put on the internet and left there for five years.

The information included social security numbers, home addresses and other information. A former applicant found the mistake while searching for information on himself.

The school has removed the data and sent letters to the applicants urging them to contact credit reporting agencies.
