A fire that started in a barn near Santa Rosa on Monday night burned for more than six hours and continued to smolder early this morning, a dispatcher for the Sonoma County Fire Department said.

The fire was reported at about 9:45 p.m. at Sky Tree Ranch, a horse boarding facility at 3295 Guerneville Road, the dispatcher said. The one-alarm fire was still smoldering at 4 a.m.

No injuries were reported.

Preliminary reports indicate that the barn contained only hay, the dispatcher said.
