There is a new cell phone application in the works that will help Mexican immigrants safely cross the border. It directs immigrants to safe routes, shelter, food, water and friendly sympathizers.
The system's creator, who works at the University of California, San Diego wants to run more tests in the desert.
He says it is a safety tool.
The border patrol says they are not worried by the invention.
