Shelter looking for holiday gifts for teens

MARTINEZ, CA

Shelter Inc. of Contra Costa County is holding the toy drive, which runs through Dec. 12 and focuses on donations for teens the shelter works with.

Items that are suggested for the age group include gift cards to retail stores, lip gloss or makeup kits, MP3 players, handheld electronic games, books, CDs, DVDs, video games, or stationary for journals.

New, unwrapped gifts can be dropped off between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays at the shelter's main office, located at 1815 Arnold Drive in Martinez. A special drop-off day will also be held on the last day of the gift drive, Saturday, Dec. 12, from 8 a.m. to noon.
