Oakland firefighters gain control of 2-alarm fire

Two people were injured in a late afternoon fire in Oakland. Both are residents of an apartment building on Myrtle Street at San Pablo Avenue.

One was treated for smoke inhalation and the other was treated for burns.

The fire went to two alarms, but was brought under control at around 4:30 p.m.

An investigation into the cause is underway.
