San Mateo lawmaker to introduce DUI bill

A Bay Area lawmaker will introduce a bill on Monday aimed at keeping repeat drunk driving offenders off the roads.

The bill would give judges in California the power to permanently revoke the driver's licenses of people convicted of three or more DUIs.

Assemblyman Jerry Hill of San Mateo was motivated to author the bill after hearing about a Peninsula man who racked up nine DUI convictions and was still allowed to keep his license.
