A Fairfield teenager's story of how he defended his dog with a ninja sword turns out to be a bit of a tall tale.Nineteen-year-old Marquel Dawson told authorities he was playing with his pit bull-German shepherd mix when a mountain lion attacked.
He said he raced home, got his sword, and fought off the animal.
However on Thursday, Fish and Game examined the tracks and determined there was no mountain lion; it was a big raccoon.
Dawson says he is just glad his dog is OK.
