First National Bank robbed at gunpoint

REDWOOD CITY, CA

Officers responded to First National Bank at 700 El Camino Real on a reported armed robbery at around 12:45 p.m., according to Redwood City Police.

A bald white man in his 50s had approached a teller in the bank and handed over a note demanding money. At the same time he opened his jacket to reveal a handgun in a brown shoulder holster.

The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money and he fled the bank on foot. No suspect vehicle was seen.

The suspect was around 5 feet 9 inches tall and was wearing a beige jacket and dark pants.
