Detroit warns employees not to wear scented products

You might say change is in the air for Detroit city workers.

The city will warn employees not to wear scented products. That includes colognes, after-shaves, perfumes, lotions and even deodorants. Scented candles and air fresheners are also no-no's.

Why the new rule? Detroit news outlets say it stems from a federal lawsuit by a city employee who said a colleague's perfume made it hard for her to do her job. She won a $100,000 settlement.
