The state will soon offer nearly $4 million in rebates for buying zero emission and plug-in hybrid cars and trucks.
The California Air Resources Board says it is part of a program to improve air quality in the state.
Under the program, buyers could get up to $5,000 for light-duty vehicles and up to $20,000 for qualified commercial vehicles.
