The San Francisco Board of Education is considering charging families for school bus rides and cutting some bus routes.

The school district currently has 50 buses that transport about 4,400 students and faces a $113 million deficit over the next two school years.

The district has not given about how much parents might have to pay or which bus routes might be cut.
