The outage was reported at about 8:20 p.m. and affected 10,210 customers at its peak in southern Novato, northeastern San Rafael and Ignacio, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said. About 70 customers were without power at 6 a.m.
Guidi said the outage was caused by a broken transmission pole at U.S. Highway 101 and Alameda Del Prado in Novato.
