Neighbors say loud diesel powered railroad trains servicing a nearby cheese plant keeps them up night after night.
A few months ago, the cheese company dished out $170,000 for sound barriers, but neighbors say it's not making much of a difference, and there are also bad vibrations.
"You can feel it actually coming up through the floor boards in the bedroom. It's almost like the cheap motel beds where you put the quarter in to get the massage," neighbor Brian Van Lehn said.
Years ago, when the plant was smaller, Tracy gave it a noise abatement pass.
Neighbors are petitioning the city to change that ordinance.
