Man honored for heroic save in Richmond fire

RICHMOND, CA

On April 24, Earline Davis and four family members were trapped behind the burglar bars of their burning home. They couldn't find the key.

With downed power lines around him Wiggins took a running start and crashed through the iron bars.

"I just started screaming 'Jesus please just get me out of here," said Davis.

"The door came open and I fell through it and hit the back window and the glass busted behind me, and she stepped over me and said 'excuse me' and she got out of there," said Wiggins.

Wiggins was also commended for gathering donations for the family from his FedEx employees and his fellow horse owners at the El Sobrante stables.
