San Francisco community advocates demonstrated at City Hall Monday against what they call Mayor Gavin Newsom's harsh new budget plan.

Facing a $483 million deficit, the mayor is proposing deep cuts in pay and services, along with more than a dozen new or higher fees.

The fees include charging drivers for crash scene clean-up and increasing the cost of an ambulance ride from $184 to over $1,600.

Schools also face drastic across the board cuts.
