San Jose's Children's Discovery Museum Wednesday introduced kids in its summer program to the possibilities of solar power.

Students from the California Green Jobs Corps' Efficient Energy team helped students enrolled in the Summer of Service program build and race solar powered model cars.

The goal is to encourage the kids to consider climate friendly careers.

The California Green Jobs Corps is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Participants receive career training and community service opportunities in California's emerging energy efficient economy.
