A YouTube video shows fans bum rushing part of the fence along John F. Kennedy Drive.
The fans eventually tore the fence down and raced into the venue before mounted police officers could stop them.
San Francisco police have not yet released how many if any were arrested. Some 80,000 fans attended the two-day event.
