Several measures are headed for a final floor vote and they'd regulate health insurance rates and set up an exchange through which people could buy insurance under the new federal law.
Insurance companies and some Republicans are fighting the bills because they want limits on how they're taxed.
The legislative session ends Aug. 31, so lawmakers must act or the bills will die.
