Parole check results in arrest for meth sales

SANTA ROSA, CA

Detectives were waiting for Steven Charles Molina at his Ventura Avenue home at about 7 p.m. to conduct a parole search, but when Molina arrived he allegedly attempted to evade officers, police said.

Molina drove through the apartment complex's parking lot, parked his vehicle and hid between two cars. Upon locating Molina, the detectives arrested him for evading arrest, police said.

A subsequent search of Molina's vehicle turned up more than an ounce of methamphetamine and other items substantiating charges of methamphetamine sales, police said.

Molina, who was booked on parole violation, is expected to be charged later this week with resisting arrest, possession of methamphetamine and possession for sale of methamphetamine.
