Vacaville man robbed at gunpoint in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, CA

A 25-year-old Vacaville man was exiting his car at 12:45 a.m. today on his way to visit a friend in the 1900 block of Grande Circle when he was approached by the suspects, one of whom was carrying a silver semi-automatic handgun, police said.

The suspects demanded the victim's wallet, but he did not have one, police said. The victim instead handed over his cell phone and cigarettes, and the men fled in a dark, four-door compact car, police said.

They drove north on Grande Circle before turning west on East Tabor Avenue, police said. Responding officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

The suspects, both black men, were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and dark pants, police said.
