Home invasion robbery reported near police station

SANTA ROSA, CA

The suspects followed two residents and their guest into the apartment in the 900 block of Sonoma Avenue at about 8:40 p.m., Sgt. Steve Fraga said.

The suspects ordered the three victims down on the ground and bound their hands and feet with duct tape, then ransacked the apartment as they held the victims at gunpoint, Fraga said.

The robbers then unbound the guest and had him help carry stolen electronic devices and marijuana plants to an SUV outside the apartment, Fraga said.

The two residents managed to free themselves and called police, but their guest never returned to the apartment, Fraga said.

Police are searching for the two suspects and the guest, Fraga said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at (707) 543-3590.
