The first, a magnitude 2.1 struck in Alameda County at 9:27 Wednesday night. Officials say it originated along the Hayward fault and was centered in Fremont near Ohlone College.
The second quake was also a magnitude 2.1 and struck at 10:13 Wednesday night along the Calaveras Fault about 9 miles east-northeast of San Jose City Hall.
No damage is reported from either of the minor quakes.
